Driven by an AI-based digital care service for dementia prevention

Amid the growing importance of AI in the digital healthcare sector, South Korean startup Voinosis (CEO Shin Jeong-eun) is drawing significant attention both domestically and internationally for its world-class voice AI technology.
The company’s technological prowess and business value were once again recognized when it won the Excellence Award at the 2023 POSCO Idea Market Place (IMP) held in Pohang on the 6th. Simultaneously, Voinosis was selected as the South Korean representative to compete in the 2023 Startup World Cup finals, scheduled to take place in San Francisco, U.S., early this December.
Voinosis is a deep-tech company that recognized the importance of early dementia prediction and the need for preemptive investment, researching and developing early prediction AI technology ahead of the curve.
Armed with the insight and technical expertise to lead the market, Voinosis has singularly focused on “early dementia prediction.” As a result, this promising startup has made a name for itself by winning multiple awards at global academic conferences and competitions. In particular, their soon-to-be-commercialized “Dementia Golden Time Finder” service—which enables early prediction and prevention of dementia simply through voice analysis—is receiving an enthusiastic response from the market and the industry.
At the recently held 2023 POSCO IMP, Voinosis received highly favorable reviews from various experts and attendees, securing the Excellence Award. Furthermore, they outperformed several deep-tech companies in the South Korean regional qualifiers for the 2023 Global Startup World Cup to become the national representative. Through this, Voinosis has earned the opportunity to prove the technological capabilities and business growth potential of its voice-based AI technology for early dementia prediction not just domestically, but on the global stage.
CEO Shin Jeong-eun stated, “I am thrilled that the market is recognizing the value of our technology. We will continue to highlight the importance and excellence of early dementia prediction not only in Korea but also in the international community, and widely promote our technology and services designed for this purpose.
She added, “We will spare no investment in continuous R&D to help create a dementia-free world and will do our absolute best to establish ourselves as a leading global company. I also want to extend my deep gratitude to Director Cho Geum-joon, Manager Lee Min-woo, and Senior Team Leader Shin Tae-ho of the Korea University Guro Hospital Open Laboratory for their unsparing support, including this year’s joint internal research projects.”
These achievements are widely regarded as the culmination of Voinosis’s preemptive investments, relentless R&D efforts, and the profound sense of mission held by CEO and physician Professor Shin Jeong-eun to provide better services for dementia patients and their families.
